1998 Ferrari 550

The 550 is often considered Ferrari’s return to the true front engine, rear wheel drive Grand Touring car and the spiritual successor to the mighty Daytona. Whilst the torquey V12, 6 speed manual gearbox and roomy cockpit ensured it was a GT car in the truest sense, it also proved its sports car pedigree with success on the track.

Finished in the sought after colour combination of Silver Grey with Bordeaux red leather interior, this is a well maintained example of the grand 550. Supplied new in January 1998 to its first owner, it has covered 47,500 documented miles from new. Bills on file show a major service – including cambelts – in late 2014, with a suspension overhaul together with new front & rear springs in May last year. A complete tool kit and correct hand books accompany the car, and on the road it performs extremely well, as one would imagine for such a well-cared for example.
