1971 Bristol 411

Bristol Owners Club Concours Winning Car

Powered by the 6.3 Litre Chrysler V8, the Bristol 411 was a fast, comfortable, esoteric grand touring saloon that offered a charismatic alternative to the ubiquitous Aston Martin DB6. Capable of over 140 mph, it could carry four people – and their luggage – in great style and comfort.

This splendid example, chassis 7571, is one of the best 411s in the world. In the custody of its current owner for almost a quarter of a century, it is in excellent condition throughout having been maintained to a very high standard. Winning the Bristol Owners Club Concours in 2003, chassis 7571 has an extensive history file detailing maintenance work completed by recognised marque specialists over a number of years.

The Series 2 is often considered the best of the 411s before the restyled Series 3 with its fussier headlight arrangement. The V8 Bristol has, in our opinion, been the undervalued brother to the six cylinder cars; it seems that finally their time has come.
