A lovely, early production Home Market 4.2 Coupe. Matching numbers, it was built in late 1964 and is finished today in the archetypical colour scheme of British Racing Green over Suede Green trim. There is correspondence with the DVLA recording ownership all the way back to 1968 when LAR 80C was only four years old. A matching numbers example, the forty years of MOT’s suggest the current mileage of 59,500 showing on the odometer is likely correct, whilst maintenance invoices stretch back 35 years. Since we bought the car we have spent almost £10,000 fully recommissioning the car, including stripping and rebuilding the rear cradle, brake overhaul and a complete service.
Home Market Coupes are hard to find, especially examples that are largely original and haven’t been restored. This is a super ‘driver’s car.
