1962 Jaguar E-Type Semi-Lightweight

Built new by Valley Motorsport, a name synonymous with front-running Semi-Lightweight E-Types. Since completion, this semi-lightweight has competed in only four events, so it is ‘as new’. It was built to the correct, 1965 legal specification so it has current HTP papers. As such, is has an aluminium bonnet, boot and doors on a steel tub. The aluminium panels were built by Rod Jay of Jaguar Racing Panels, a respected Jaguar panel maker. The engine was built by Valley Motorsport, with all the components new and to their best race specification. Engine power output is around 340bhp, and built up around a steel engine block with aluminium head.

The gearbox is close ratio, all synchromesh, 4 speed unit linked to a full competition clutch. Power is distributed through a Limited Slip Diff that has the essential differential oil cooler. For events such as Spa, there is a long range fuel tank (which is in date).

In brief, this potential front-runner was built to the ultimate Valley Motorsport specification and is ready for its next owner to enjoy the numerous events for which such a car is eligible.
