This AC Ace Bristol is a rare home-market Right Hand Drive example delivered new with disc brakes and overdrive.
BE238 was discovered by the previous owner in 2005 having been being locked away in storage for many years. It was subject to a sympathetic restoration shortly after by marque specialist Nigel Winchester. The car was found to be in exceptionally original condition retaining not only its original 100D Bristol engine but also all of its correctly stamped matching body panels.
A low owner car, the history with BE238 is quite remarkable, with 3 folders of paperwork dating back to 1961 and MOT’s since 1962. The history file also includes the original hand books and extensive images of its restoration. There is a lovely worn note book, with hand written notes starting in 1964 and running through to 1985, cataloguing every MOT, oil-change and outing.
BE238 is absolutely ‘on the button’ and represents one of the finest AC Ace Bristol’s available on the market today.
