The 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera S, introduced as part of the 991.2 update, represents a significant step forward in the evolution of the 911. For the first time, the Carrera S moved to a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, replacing the naturally aspirated engines used in earlier generations. This new unit produces around 414 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, delivered from just 1,700 rpm, giving the car strong, easy performance in everyday driving as well as on longer, faster journeys.
When fitted with PDK and the optional Sport Chrono package, as this example is, it can accelerate from 0 – 62 mph in under 4 seconds and reach a top speed close to 190 mph. Despite this performance, the 991.2 generation brought improved efficiency and lower emissions compared with the earlier 991.1 models.
Porsche made several subtle but effective changes to the chassis. The standard PASM setup sits slightly lower than before, helping stability, while the wider rear tyres give the car a planted feel in faster corners. These updates combine to make the 991.2 model more composed, predictable and confidence-inspiring.
Inside, the 991.2 received a refreshed infotainment system with a clearer interface and improved connectivity, making the cabin more modern and easier to use. The rest of the interior keeps the familiar 911 layout: comfortable front seats, a clean dashboard design and high-quality materials throughout. The rear seats remain useful for occasional passengers or additional luggage.
This example was first registered in September 2016 and is finished in Agate Grey over black leather. It currently has full Xpel Satin PPF professionally fitted, which can be removed if preferred by separate negotiation. The car sits on 20-inch Carrera S wheels finished in Bronze and features the sought-after PDK gearbox.
