1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider

Famous for being the last inline six cylinder Alfa Romeo with twin-overhead camshafts, the 2600 was the flagship model for Italian motor manufacturer when launched in 1962. Bodied by Touring, it was an expensive automobile, so despite the highly acclaimed engine the total production run was limited.

Finished in Black with a red leather interior and removable factory hardtop, this lovely driving example of the 2600 was supplied to Switzerland new. The current owner bought it from a private collection in the Netherlands in 2013, fully recommissioning it upon its arrival in the UK. Work included rebuilding the brakes, setting up all the suspension geometry, rebuilding the steering box, fitting new rear springs, a new toneau, and period correct Pirelli Cinturato’s. The mohair hood is in excellent condition, and the Alfa behaved faultlessly on a Alpine tour last year, regardless of the weather!

Documentation includes previous Netherlands registration documents, maintenance invoices whilst in the current owner’s custody, as well as a current MOT and V5C. A great Grand Touring Alfa romeo that is on the button and ready to enjoy.
